About Premo Rice
Maryland has produced some of the most prominent rappers in the United States like Wale, Logic, Cordae, Rod Lee, Roy Woods, and Q Da Fool and you can now add Premo Rice to the list.
Premo entered this game in 2012, not by singing but by making beats. He began rhyming over his own music after becoming dissatisfied with the way other rappers moved along on them. He set up a huge fanbase on Vine in the early 2010s but ceased generating content to boost his market value as a musician.
Five years later, in 2015, he launched his first album titled, Mack Sagas. As time went by, he launched other notable projects as well as a Greatest Hits collection. Unlike other rappers, his writing creativity is somewhat unique.
Actually, the main influences on his writing come from infamous pimps and the sex workers that he encountered while studying audio engineering in Hawai’i.
Premo has bigger plans for the future. He not only wants to be a rapper, he wants to be a full-time producer. By the time I am writing this, Premo is the co-owner of Live Forever Recordings with friends and fellow rappers Aye Jae, K! ng Joe, and Chino Grigio.

Premo Rice’s Music Journey From 2012 Up to Date
Premo’s musical adventure began in 2012, while he was attending college in Hawaii and it was a chaotic moment in his life. Pimping (or in layman’s terms, sex workers) is very popular in Hawaii, so he definitely had some wild experiences.
In one notable instance, he found himself in the middle of a traffic jam and ended up returning home, but he made the most out of the situation by getting started with rap.
Premo’s entire life has revolved around music. He released a compilation tape featuring different rappers who used his beats as the backdrop. He decided to take matters into his own hands by starting to rap because he didn’t really like the way they were sounding.
Premo also put a song on the tape and it ended up being the favorite song on the tape. He was inspired by the feedback that he was receiving, such as “Aye Bruh, this is one of my favorite songs on the tape you should rap.”
Premo claims that his mother and grandmother impacted positively his passion for music more than anyone or anything else when he was growing up.
His mother would play music in the house, so he had no choice but to sit back and listen, which is why the music he composed was so heartfelt.
“I feel like when people listen to my songs, they may feel like it’s mainly for men to relate to because I’m talking about pimping and getting women,” Premo explained. “But the message is more than that; it’s about freshening up the system.”
Premo Rice Age, Real Name
His real name is Richard Dixon, but he is better known by his stage name Premo Rice. He was born in Prince George’s County, Maryland, USA. He has not yet revealed the specifics of his birth details.
