Charmaine Bey is not your usual media personality. She’s a superwoman in my opinion. She left the popular show Black Ink Crew: Chicago in 2022 after facing her fair share of conflicts with colleagues and former friends.

Why Did Charmaine Quit The Black Ink Crew: Chicago?
Most people will immediately think of Charmaine when they hear of Black Ink Crew: Chicago. She has the merit of being among the breakout superstars of the series thanks to her elegance, passion, and down-to-earth person.
She announced her departure from the show in an Instagram post on March 18, 2022. Charmaine said that a storyline involving colorism was the reason why she departed the show.
She continued by saying that an argument between the two women occurred as a result of something that went wrong between her and the cast member at a tattoo convention.
She later found out that the actor was promoting a colorism plot that aimed to portray the 32-year-old as a colorist.
Charmaine also observed the cast member sobbing about protecting Black women and defining the term colorism. She, therefore, cut ties with the show after watching how the issue was handled on the show.
With good faith, Charmaine made a point of expressing her gratitude for the chance to be a part of Black Ink Crew: Chicago, but she also stated that it was time for her to leave the program.
