Is Fani Willis Married?
The answer is NO. Fani is not married at the moment. However, it is known all over that she was previously married to her now ex-husband, Fred Willis. Their bitter/sweet love story began in 1993, not long after Fani had just completed her studies at Howard University.
She noticed a handsome man who happened to be Fred, at the time he was working an extra job as a videographer, on the day she took the bar exam. Believe it or not, Fani said that Fred had nice legs; probably one of the reasons she fell in love with him.
The couple married in November 1996, mind you, she had just graduated from Emory University School of Law in May 1996. The couple enjoyed their marriage for 9 years until the unfortunate incident that happened in 2005 when they decided to split and this came as a shock to the online audience.
Their divorce records are not available at the moment but it is alleged that they separated on grounds of irreconcilable differences.
Nonetheless, Fani and her husband are still pursuing their respective careers. In fact, Fani has risen through the ranks and she has advanced in her career as we have discussed in her bio segment. Fani and Fred have two daughters together namely; Nia Kisura Willis and Kinaya Imani Willis.
She has raised her children primarily as a single mother and it has not been easy. She kept a couch in her office for her children to visit and sleep on while she was preparing for a trial.
